South Korea Begins Formal Investigation After Raiding Google's Offices

South Korea Police Raid Google Office from the New York Times reports South Korea has started a formal investigation against Google over the Street View privacy topic that has been haunting Google for the past few months.

Google’s South Korea offices were raided today by the South Korean police. Korean National Police Agency (KNPA) issued a statement:

[We] have been investigating Google Korea on suspicion of unauthorised collection and storage of data on unspecified Internet users from wi-fi networks.

A Google spokesperson said that this is related to the Street Views data and they “will co-operate with the investigation and answer any questions the police may have.”
