Inside Google, Consumer Watchdog Group News Site On Google Privacy

A new web site named Inside Google has launched aimed at tracking and reporting on Google’s privacy issues and other issues surrounded around Google’s “dangerous dominance over the Internet,” as the site explains. The Consumer Watchdog group, backed by the Rose Foundation currently has four bloggers reporting on these concerns.

In fact, the web site is soliciting complaints against Google via a web form. The form says, “If you’ve caught Google in the act, let us know here. We’ll take your complaints and turn them into action!” The bloggers include John M. Simpson, Margot Williams, Jamie Court and Glenn Simpson.

USA Today reports John Simpson from Inside Google saying:

Google advocates openness and transparency for everyone else, but when it comes to their own activities, the company is extremely secretive. Inside Google will focus needed public attention on Google’s activities.
